Prostaguard is a nutritional supplement containing minerals, herbs and vitamins which through traditional use have proven to be important to maintaining a healthy prostate gland, and contains 500mg of Saw Palmetto extract which is a known anti-andgrogen. Prostaguard is a natural supplement with each tablet containing the following: Zinc Gluconate - 112.5mg Saw Palmetto- 500mg Vitamin B6- 75mg These ingredients plus others included in Prostaguard have been documented as having anti-androgenic effects and may be effective in treating androgentic alopecia. Saw Palmetto may prevent the binding of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to androgen receptors and, therefore, may also be of use to prevent hair loss and other undesirable effects of DHT.
